     The OLD COLONY HISTORICAL SOCIETY was organized in 1853 for the purpose of preserving the history of the Old Colony (or Plymouth Bay) region of Massachusetts.  Today, our mission has grown to preserve the history of the people of the Taunton region and to share this history with our audience, inspiring in them a sense of community as they shape the future.

 

     Membership is an essential element to fulfilling our mission. An OCHS Membership offers many advantages, and there are several levels of support from which to choose.  Please check one, and fill out the information on the reverse.

 

     Dues and contributions are tax deductible within the limits prescribed by law and assist in supporting the activities of the Society, a private, non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization.

·         Unlimited free access to the museum and library, and unlimited research privileges, provided that work is done in person

·         Photocopies at reduced rate of 15 cents/page

·         Receipt of quarterly Newsletter

·         Placement on mailing list for invitation to meetings, concerts, and events and notification of special publications
